Roasted Turkey Drumsticks

Turkey legs! My first best turkey experience was these guys at my friends house. Before that, to tell you the truth, I was not a big fan of turkey meat. Last year, my husband, kids and I decided to make a tradition and have a  little Thanksgiving dinner just for us to spent some quality time together. For the family of 5 this turkey drumsticks are a winner. No left overs and I am happy with it.Thank you Inna, for sharing this delicious, moist and yammy dish with me.

Ingredients for Roasted Turkey Drumsticks:

6 turkey drumsticks

2 bell peppers any colors

1 big onion or 2 small

1/2 lemon

1 Tbsp seasoning salt

2 Tbsp Mrs Dash

1 Tbsp garlic salt

1 Tbsp montreal steak seasoning

1 Tbsp salt

1/2 Tsp pepper

  1. In a small bowl combine all seasonings together. Sprinkle seasoning mix over the turkey drumsticks and toss with your hands to evenly coat the meat, pushing some of the seasonings under the skin of each leg for richer flavor.                                                                                                     
  2. Slice bell peppers+onion                                                                       
  3. Transfer seasoned Turkey Drumsticks into a roasting pan and sprinkle with sliced bell peppers+onions and lemon juice. Cover it with a plastic food wrap and refrigerate for few hours or overnight.  
  4. Preheat oven to 350’F. Pour the water over Turkey Drumsticks. The liquid may not cover your meat completely, only 3/4 of roasting pan. Cover the pan with foil and bake for 3 hours.                                                                                                           Happy Turkey Day!
