Organic Berry Fruit Juice (Kompot)

Homemade fruit juice is a refreshing drink, especially on hot summer days! This healthy drink  has lots of vitamins and a very good taste. I’m very happy to see my kids drinking it over store sold beverages.  Another good benefit for homemade juice is  that it gives you control over how much sugar it has exactly.

Its totally fine to substitute some fruits and play around with different tastes. Today I used frozen fruits that I prepared on summer time.

My kids love it, so do I:) .

Ingredients for Kompot:

7 quarts (6,5 liters) of water

1 cup of blueberries

1 cup of strawberries

1 stick of rhubarb

4 branches of black currant ( this ingredient will give a magically amazing taste to your drink )

2 cups of sugar

Fill your pot with a water and add all the ingredients. Bring it to a boil and stir on a low heat (make it boil lightly) for about 5 minutes.

Turn off the heat and cover with a lid. Let it stay untouched for about an hour to get the rich taste from all those delicious fruits.

Serve it warm or cold.
