Stuffed Salmon Bombs
Spectacular dish that will WOW your guests!
This week salmon was on our menu and I decided to try something new and fun. Holiday season is coming and I absolutely love creating new dishes to serve my guests.
Stuffed Salmon Bombs is a great way to turn an ordinary dinner into a special occasion and is great for entertaining, as it can be prepared ahead of time and baked right before your guests arrive.
I was recently invited to a local church event, where I had the opportunity to try something similar to my Stuffed Salmon Bombs. I could not find out who made that delicious dish, but from the first bite, I knew that I will need to recreate this recipe at home, either on my own or if I get lucky and someone would share the recipe with me. I didn’t get lucky to find the chef of the dish and created the recipe on my own:) I highly recommend to all of you try this dish. It turns out very moist and delicious, with rich flavor of crab meat Stuffed Salmon Bombs.
This recipe will definitely be on my menu list for the upcoming holiday season:)
Seriously , I have not been this excited to share any of my recipes yet, as for this one. I am very glad that I can share it with you all, my friends!
Ingredients:
2 lb Salmon fillet ( wider and thicker is better)
1lb crab meat, shredded ( you can substitute the crab meat with imitation crab meat)
2tbsp mayonnaise
8oz cream cheese (room temperature)
3 garlic cloves
2 tbsp chopped baby dill
1/2 cup extra light olive oil
Lemon and pepper seasoning
Mrs. Dash seasoning
Seasoning salt
parchment paper.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
1. Wash and towel dry Salmon fillet.
2. Meanwhile, make the stuffing. With a hand mixer, mix well : cream cheese + mayonnaise and chopped dill. Add cream cheese mixture into a bowl with shredded crab meat. Add minced garlic and mix everything very well.
3. Now you need a super sharp knife. You want to cut the Salmon fillet thin but not to rip it. Place all the pieces of the fillet on a cutting board.
Let the fun part begin:)
4. Make a small oval balls of the crab meat stuffing and place each ball on the wider corner of sliced salmon fillet. Roll them very tight and place on baking sheet, lined with parchment paper.
5. Lightly sprinkle all the salmon rolls with seasoning salt, lemon, pepper and Mr. Dash. Spread the oil evenly over all of the Stuffed Salmon Bombs.
Bake for about 20-25 minutes (baking time depends on your oven heat power). Don’t over bake!!! Salmon rolls are very thin and small, they will bake a lot faster than you think.
Garnish Stuffed Salmon Bombs with fresh kale and slices of lemon.
Bon appétit!
